Anthony the owner, nothing was too much trouble for him. The breakfast is excellent. The hotel is traditional in style but immaculately clean
The bar did not have a choice of cold beers available at the time

Only the location
Pretty much everything apart from location. Vastly over-priced, minute room, even more minute en-suite, cheap nasty furniture. Appalling in every way.

The breakfast was good, the room was agreeable. Although they seemed a little under-staffed, the staff I did meet were friendly and helpful. -- (Student, staying one night in a single room).
The decor was rather dated and unfortunately not to the extent as to fall into the category of 'quaint'.

Very nice hotel staff and the breakfast was very, very good.
The room was cold (the wind was high outside). I took an extra blanket which was lying on the floor of of the wardrobe (I did´nt like it was lying on the floor.). The room was also very small. _ No lift in the hotel.

It was near the sea!
Certainly was not a four star hotel. There was a funny cheap smell in the room.

Clean, cheap rooms, friendly and a great breakfast. You would have to be the fussiest bugger ever to complain about this place.

Room was clean and bright, breakfast was very good, staff were polite and friendly
Unfortunately there was a large stag party staying in the hotel which made quite a bit of noise when they came in which meant we had a disturbed night's sleep. It was a shame as other than that it would have been a lovely place to stay.

Breakfasts were beautifully cooked and served hot and quickly.En suite facilities were very good with plenty of storage. The rooms were spacious and airy with good soft furnishings. Great windows. The shared lounge and dining facilities were quirky and interesting in decorative features. We loved the book cases steeped with huge range of books.
We would have preferred a king size bed to a standard double and single.

The location is good - close to the sea; close to the restaurants of Hove; close to Portslade & not far from Brighton itself. The Hotel is easy to find, well appointed & extremely good value. The staff are very friendly & helpful, too
For my overnight stay i could not fault the Adastral Hotel.

Excellent breakfast and clean room.
Room and en suite were exceptionally small. TV ancient with only 4 channels. Room was stuck in the 1970s - pink floral.

This hotel is a great find. It has everything you need - including free WiFi - at a reasonable price. Slightly quirky, but comfortable and clean, I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brighton.

Great breakfasts - good quality produce, well cooked, piping hot and lots of it. The waitress was attentive without being intrusive. Our room although being compact - on saying that with two teenagers any room seems to close in, had the best beds ever and we had everything we needed, it was also the cleanest room I have been in - full credit to the room cleaner! Great location if you don't want city hustle being only a minute walk from Hove seafront a couple of minutes in the other direction to Hove art gallery and a slightly longer walk or short drive to Hove Lagoon - it's also on bus routes into Brighton.
Parking although wasn't enough to ruin our stay, was a bit of a bind as it is pay and display street parking between 9am and 8pm and you had to search up and down the road for a parking space.
